Judie McGlinchey
Judie is a real “people person” who enjoys helping others. A native of Mishawaka, Indiana,
she worked in the Quality Control department for the U.S. Rubber Company for several years,
then quit working to raise her two sons. Judie moved to Charlotte County in 2002, and had to
find alternative housing for 18 months after Hurricane Charley in 2004, waiting until her condominium was rebuilt.
She discovered the Cultural Center about three years ago when she took several Computer Classes offered by The Learning Place to bring her office skills up to date. She enjoyed the classes and felt she would like to help others enjoy the Center and learn how it benefits our community. She has volunteered in the Administration Office and in the Theater Box office for about 1 1/2 years.
Judie says, “Volunteering at the Cultural Center is fun and it offers something for everyone to do. By working in two departments, I get to meet more people and do different jobs, so the work never gets dull or repetitious.”
